hope street has city centre rehearsal rooms and equipment for hire.

REHEARSAL/ MEETING ROOMS AVAILABLE:

The upper rehearsal room is 14m x 6m and has a wooden floor, with dance floor.

The room is suitable for dance, physical theatre, music, singing and drama workshops and rehearsals.
 The middle room is 9.5m x 6m and has a carpeted concrete floor.

It is suitable for non-physical workshops and rehearsals, as well as an ideal meeting room.
Up to 30 chairs and 6 tables can be provided in each room. A flip chart stand, paper and pens are also available. Both rooms have natural light, strip lighting and have toilets adjacent.

Each room has seating for 25 people provided.

We have a green room with small kitchen on the ground floor and seating for 30 people.

ROOM HIRE CHARGES

The cost of hiring the Upper Room is £80 per day; the Middle Room is £70 per day (10h00 - 17h00) Monday to Friday.
(Please call us for rates applying to half days, evening sessions etc.)

Special rates are negotiated for community groups, individual artists and small scale theatre companies.

Saturdays, Sundays and evenings are also available by negotiation.

Please note that additional reception cover and caretaking may incur additional charges.

Our building is regrettably not accessible to wheelchair users.

Tmesis Theatre Company also have a number of items for hire:

  • 2 Sanyo PLC XT25 digital projectors
  • 2 projector flaps
  • a variety of cables and extensions
  • 1 Neutron Hazer
  • 3 bubble machines
  • a black sharkstooth gauze, 10m wide by 6m drop
  • 1 screen 8m long x 3.5m high, adjustable to 6m long X 3.5m high. Ideal for projections and silhouette work. The screen has a back frame for a lighting bar and is made out of Translight 2000 material.
